Intermediates & Juniors - 13-14 Year Olds

The Intermediates/Juniors Division is a 2-tiered program for boys and girls aged 13-14 from across Little League BC District 6. The teams in this division play as the District 6 Battalion. The Intermediates/Juniors Division is typically a player’s first experience with leadoffs, balks and pickoffs, and the games are played on a larger diamond than the younger divisions.

Tier 1 Intermediates Team Information

  • The Tier 1 Intermediate team will play games on a 50/70 field at Sunrise Park and will have batting practice at the Trout Lake Little League facility.
  • This team is open to players who are league age 13 (born September 1, 2011 - August 31, 2012).
  • Tryouts for this team will be held in late January/early February.
  • There will be some travel required for away games and for tournaments.
  • Players will be expected to attend all practices (2x per week minimum) and all games.
  • Player families are responsible for all travel expenses, though there may be team fundraising opportunities.
  • The season will extend into July and possibly beyond. Key dates may include:
    • "Best of the West" U13AA tournament – April 24 - 27, 2025, Kamloops, BC
    • Sussex All Star Tournament – June 27 - 30, 2025, Kamloops, BC
    • Provincials – Early to mid-July, location TBD
    • Canadians – July 16 - 23, 2025, Kingston, ON
    • 2025 Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series – July 27 - August 3, 2025, Livermore, CA

Tier 2 Juniors Teams Information

  • The Tier 2 Juniors teams will play games on a 54/80 field at Sunrise Park and will have batting practice at the Trout Lake Little League facility.
  • These teams are open to players who are league age 13 and 14 (born September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2012).
  • These will be balanced house teams. Assessments will be held in February.
  • There will be some local travel required for Away games and/or tournaments (North Shore, Coquitlam, Whalley, Langley).
  • Players will be expected to attend most practices (2x per week) and games.
  • The regular season ends in June, though there may be some opportunity for tournament play in July.
